The Line: Bucks -2.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks square off Saturday night in preseason ball at the Kohl Center.
The Dallas Mavericks are 1-1 in preseason action and are coming off a win over the Charlotte Hornets. The Mavs are one of the few teams that have taken care of the basketball, as they have 21 combined turnovers and have produced 44 assists. Seth Curry has really shined for Dallas off the bench as he’s 7-9 from three with 32 points, and J.J Barea has five assists and 19 points. Quincy Acy has also been solid on the glass in limited playing time. The concern for the Mavericks is that Harrison Barnes is just 4-18 from the field. Barnes, who has been criticized for his NBA Finals performance with Golden State, must break out of his funk if the Mavericks are going to be a playoff team. The Dallas Mavericks have some work to do before the regular season begins.

The Milwaukee Bucks have just one preseason game under their belt, which was a Monday win over the Chicago Bulls. The Bucks were able to win a game in which they shot 37.5 percent from the field, and that’s because Milwaukee forced 22 turnovers. In the win, Greg Monroe had 15 points and nine rebounds off the bench while Jabari Parker had 13 points and nine rebounds. Michael Carter-Williams grabbed 11 rebounds and Giannis Antetokounmpo had 12 points in 24 minutes. The Milwaukee Bucks looked a lot like the team of a couple of years ago where it dominates the glass and plays shutdown defense. The Bucks are never the prettiest team in the league but are very frustrating due to their length and ability to defend. The Bucks are hoping they can build on such a performance.
The Mavericks are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games. The Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Mavericks are 3-11-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Milwaukee and 5-1-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings overall.
The Mavs are one of the few teams that have taken care of the ball and have played disciplined football in the first couple of games. However, the Bucks are a frustrating team to play with their length and athleticism. The Bucks are also a young team that should be able to run the older Mvas into the ground. Give me the Bucks and the small line.
