The Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder square off Thursday night in NBA preseason at the BOK Center.
The Memphis Grizzlies are 2-1 in preseason play and will take the road for the first time. The Grizzlies are coming off their best game yet in which they scored 121 points and shot 48.3 percent against the Philadelphia 76ers. Mike Conley has 27 points and eight assists in 39 minutes while Zach Randolph has combined for 29 points and 15 rebounds. Troy Williams has racked up 37 points in his last two games and James Ennis is coming off a game in which he scored 15 points in 24 minutes. The Memphis Grizzlies are still trying to find their way under new head coach David Fizdale, but have shown signs of improving on the offensive end. Everybody knows what they’re getting from the Grizzlies defensively, but it’s the offense that will determine just how far Memphis can go in the Western Conference.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are off to a slow 1-2 preseason start and play their second game against an NBA team. Despite making 14 threes against the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night, the Thunder shot just 40.6 percent from the field and allowed 114 points. The good news for the Thunder is that Russell Westbrook is in regular season mode, as racked up 42 points and 16 assists in his last three games and making highlight plays every game. Victor Oladipo has 53 points and 11 assists with his new team and Enes Kanter is coming off a game in which he had 11 points and 13 rebounds in 22 minutes. The Oklahoma City Thunder have received great play from their starting unit and should be fine regular season time. The concern for OKC is finding bench depth to limit the amount of drop off when the starters leave the game.
The Grizzlies are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The over is 5-0 in Thunder last 5 Thursday games. The Grizzlies are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Oklahoma City and the over is 18-8 in the last 26 meetings in Oklahoma City.
I need to see the Grizzlies put together consistent offensive performances before trusting them against other good teams. The Thunder are getting great play from their playmakers and need a victory over an NBA team. This is that chance. Give me the Thunder and the low line with this game being played in Tusla.
