The Memphis Grizzlies and the rival Houston Rockets take the hardwood at the Toyota Center Saturday.
The Memphis Grizzlies had everything going their way Thursday night and the result was a 110-94 win at Oklahoma City that upped their record to 3-1 as they prepare to go on the road and face the division rival Rockets. Memphis trailed by 14 after 12 minutes but the Thunder were no match the rest of the way. OKC held a slight 42%-39.8% shooting edge but gave the ball away 17 more times with Memphis sinking ten more free throws. Marc Gasol led all scorers with 21 points and seven pulls followed by a 19 point, eight assist effort from Mike Conley. Zach Randolph gave Memphis 12 points and eight boards while JaMychal Green and Vince Hunter combined for 21 points.

The Houston Rockets are one of the top offensive teams in the game and they rode that ability to a 116-104 victory against the visiting Pelicans on Wednesday. The Rockets took control in the first period with a 31-14 lead and played New Orleans even the rest of the way. Both squads sank shots at around 44% but Houston managed 13 more shots and five more field goals behind few turnovers and slightly better rebounding. Bobby Brown led the Rockets attack with 18 points followed by Kyle Wiltjer with 15 points and five yanks. Sam Dekker and James Harden netted 14 points apiece with Harden grabbing six boards and posting eight assists while Ryan Anderson and Montrezl Harrell scored eleven points each with a combined 13 rebounds.
