The New Orleans Pelicans visit the Orlando Magic for their final game of the NBA basketball preseason.
The New Orleans Pelicans final tune up for the NBA basketball regular season comes at Orlando on Thursday night. The Pelicans come off a 116-104 defeat to the Houston Rockets where their defense obviously had some problems. The Pelicans fell behind by 17 in the first period and that was it as they never were able to get back in the game despite each ream sinking shots at around 43% because the Rockets had fewer turnovers, more rebounds and more threes. Quinn Cook gave the Pelicans 20 points and eight assists with Langston Galloway tossing in 16 while the trio of Cheick Diallo, Dante Cunningham and Solomon hill netted 12 points apiece and combined for 19 boards.

The Orlando Magic would like nothing more to head in to the NBA basketball regular season with a win and they have one last shot against the visiting New Orleans Pelicans. The Magic have to play better then they did in Sunday’s 105-98 to visiting Atlanta that was tied at the break with the Hawks pulling away in the second half. Orlando shot the ball better at 44%-41% but at the final buzzer the only difference was the Hawks sank eleven more free throws. Serge Ibaka led the Magic with 25 points and six pulls followed by Evan Turner with 22 points and five yanks while Efrid Payton and DJ Augustin tossed in 14 points and 12 points respectively.
The Pelicans are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games and the over is 4-0 in Pelicans last 4 overall while the under is 5-1 in Pelicans last 6 Thursday games. The over is 4-0 in Magic last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and the Magic are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games while the over is 6-1 in Magic last 7 overall. The under is 18-6 in the last 24 meetings and the Pelicans are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
