The Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers play an NBA game Thursday night at the Moda Center on TNT.
The Los Angeles Clippers hope that this is the season to compete for an NBA title and it may be the last year for quite some time with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin being free agents at the end of the season. Throw DeAndre Jordan and JJ Reddick in the mix and the Clippers have probably the second most talented starting five in the league behind the Golden State Warriors. The key for the Clippers this season will be their bench and the additions of Brandon Bass and Marreese Speights should help out in that department. If there’s a dark horse out there that could push the Warriors or the Cleveland Cavaliers, it’s probably the Clippers. The Los Angeles Clippers have won four of their last five regular season openers. Paul Pierce is likely out due to an ankle injury.

You guys know since last year I've been backing the Portland Trail Blazers heavy, especially when they're at home. That's going to be the case here as well. Portland has an advantage having a game under its belt and the Clippers have lost four straight games against the Trail Blazers. It's about time the oddmakers and bettors starting taking the Trail Blazers a little more seriously.
