The Memphis Grizzlies invade Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks on Saturday night.
The Grizzlies will be looking to improve to 2-0 on the season after sneaking past the Timberwolves by 102-98 in their season opener on Wednesday night. Mike Conley drained four treys en route to a team-high 24 points with four assists, Zach Randolph added 19 points and 11 rebounds in his new role off the bench while Marc Gasol chipped in with 18 points as the Grizzlies recovered well after falling behind by 16-1 to start the game. Chandler Parsons missed the first game and is likely to miss at least one more game as the Grizzlies look to keep him wrapped up in cotton wool, so to speak.

Meanwhile, the Knicks will still be licking their wounds after getting trounced by 117-88 at the hands of the Cavaliers on opening night. Carmelo Anthony led the team with 19 points, Derrick Rose added 17 points while Kristaps Porzingis chipped in with 16 but the Knicks shot just 36.8 percent from the field as a team and just didn't have the answers on defense to hold out LeBron James who led the Cavaliers with a triple-double of 19 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists. Joakim Noah was brought over in the offseason but finished scoreless in 20 minutes of action, while Brandon Jennings chipped in with seven points and five assists in 21 minutes off the bench. The Knicks are obviously very disappointed with their season opener.
In ATS trends, the Grizzlies are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 against Eastern Conference opponents and 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Knicks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game and 2-5 ATS in their last seven against the NBA Southwest.
Head to head, the Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the over is 12-5 in the last 17 meetings.
The Grizzlies did well to bounce back from a slow start and win in their season opener and I'm backing them to come out on top once again as the Knicks are still a major work in progress.
