The Denver Nuggets pay a visit to the Detroit Pistons tonight at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Nuggets were able to avoid a third straight loss by beating the Timberwolves in a 102-99 win on Thursday night. Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler led the team with 19 points each and Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points as the Nuggets used a 33-14 third quarter to erase an early 15-point deficit to outlast the pesky Timberwolves for their second win of the season. Turnovers remain a problem for the Nuggets as they committed a total of 20 turnovers for the game, but the Nuggets bench were terrific, outscoring the Wolves' bench by 45-23.

Meanwhile, the Pistons will be looking to bounce back after having their three-game win streak halted by the Nets in a 109-101 loss on Wednesday. Marcus Morris and Tobias Harris both led the team with 23 points each while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope chipped in with 15 points but the Pistons left themselves with too much ground to make up, falling behind by 71-55 after the first half. The Pistons would rally to within five points in the final three minutes of the game, but they just couldn't get over the hump and are now 3-2 on the season and 0-2 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Nuggets are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Pistons are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five against the Western Conference and 35-17-2 ATS in their last 54 home games.
Head to head, the Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 4-9 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Detroit.
The Nuggets played well to snap their two-game skid with a win over the Wolves, but I'm leaning towards the Pistons to remain undefeated at home where they've won their first three games by an average of 14 points.
