The Portland Trailblazers invade the Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
The Trailblazers will be gunning for a fourth straight win after taking down the Suns in a 124-121 shootout last night. Damian Lillard poured in 38 points on 12 of 23 shooting, CJ McCollum added 33 points with seven assists while Maurice Harkless chipped in with 20 points as the Trailblazers shot 55.6 percent from the field to beat the Suns. This game could have gone either way as the Blazers were actually leading by as many as 18 points early before the Suns came roaring back, but the Blazers were able to escape with a win to improve to 5-3 overall and 2-2 at home.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will be looking to build on their current three-game win streak after cruising past the Pistons in a 112-80 rout on Monday night. Chris Paul led the team with 24 points and eight assists, JJ Redick added 20 points while Blake Griffin scored 13 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists as the Clippers jumped all over the Pistons early and led by 28-8 in the first quarter to set up the massive victory. Los Angeles has been one of the best teams defensively so far this season and it’s a big reason why they’re now 6-1 on the season and 3-1 at home.
In ATS trends, the Blazers are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600, while the Clippers are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games overall and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings in Los Angeles and 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall.
The Blazers are certainly good enough to win this one straight up but it's going to be tough playing on a second night of a back to back set, so I'm taking the Clippers who are starting to look real good as Griffin returns to form.
