The Boston Celtics and the New Orleans Pelicans do battle on Monday at the Smoothie King Center.
The Celtics will be aiming for a third straight win tonight after sneaking past the Pacers in a 105-99 win on Saturday. Isaiah Thomas shot just four of 12 from the field but scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to finish with 23 points and five assists, Kelly Olynyk added 16 points while Amir Johnson had 14 points as the Celtics took full advantage of a Pacers team playing without their leading scorer in Paul George. Al Horford sat out for the fifth straight game due to the NBA concussion protocol but he could feature tonight. With the win, Boston improves to 5-4 on the season and 2-3 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans were going for a second straight win after snapping an eight-game losing streak, but they just couldn't get it going in Saturday's 126-99 loss to the Lakers. Anthony Davis was once again on a tear for the Pelicans, but he left the game in the third quarter when his back seized up which hurt the team as the Lakers would go on a decisive 14-0 before he could return, leaving the Pelicans too much ground to make up. Buddy Hield had 18 points while Langston Galloway chipped in with 12 points off the bench, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. With the loss, New Orleans drops to 1-9 on the season and 0-5 at home.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall and 6-13 ATS in their last 19 road games, while the Pelicans are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games.
Head to head, the Celtics are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
The news is that Davis will suit up which is a massive boost for the Pelicans but I just don't think that'll be enough as the Celtics have been solid and could have Al Horford back in uniform tonight. I'm going with the more reliable Celtics to score the upset tonight.
