The Miami Heat play host to the Atlanta Hawks tonight at the American Airlines Arena.
The Hawks will be gunning for their fifth straight win tonight after making light work of the 76ers in a 117-96 win on Saturday night. Tim Hardaway Jr. led the team in scoring with 20 points in just 18 minutes off the bench, Kent Bazemore added 17 points while Dennis Schroder had 16 points with eight assists as the Hawks overcame some early turnover trouble to cruise past the 76ers and improve to 7-2 overall and 5-1 at home.

Meanwhile, the Heat have been in a major slump as they've lost five straight and seven of nine to start the season. Last night against the Spurs, Dion Waiters scored 27 points, Hassan Whiteside added 23 points and Tyler Johnson chipped in with 11 points and six assists but the Heat just didn't have the firepower with starting point guard Goran Dragic sitting out with an ankle sprain. On the positive side, the Heat looked really good on the defensive end last night, especially in the second half where they outscored the Spurs by 50-39.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall and 6-1 ATS in their last seven against the Eastern Conference, while the Heat are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the Hawks are 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall and 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Miami.
The Heat will be feeling confident about this one after coming so close to beating the Spurs in their last outing, but I just think the Hawks are one of the hottest teams in the league at the moment and should be good enough to get the win and cover on the road tonight.
