The Toronto Raptors and the Denver Nuggets do battle tonight at the Pepsi Center.
The Raptors will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Warriors in a 127-121 shootout on Wednesday. DeMar DeRozan led the way with 34 points while Kyle Lowry chipped in with 24 points of his own, but the Raptors really shot themselves in the foot in the second quarter where they scored just 15 points after pouring in 38 points in the first quarter. On the bright side, the Raptors did a great job of staying competitive after falling behind by as many as 19 points in the third quarter, but they'll be kicking themselves that they allowed a poor second quarter to spoil what could have been their best win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets have been strugglingly all season but they'll be breathing a little sigh of relief after snapping a four-game losing streak with a 120-104 win over the Suns on Wednesday. Wilson Chandler led the team with a season-high 28 points and 11 rebounds off the bench, Kenneth Faried added 20 points and 15 rebounds, while Danilo Gallinari chipped in with 18 points as the Nuggets built a double digit lead early on and never looked back. With the win, Denver improves to 4-7 on the season and 1-3 at home.
In ATS trends, the Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a win and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games.
Head to head, the Raptors are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and the road team is 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings.
The Raptors are in a little bit of a rut but I'm not going to overreact as their last two losses came against the Cavaliers and the Warriors. It won't be easy, but I think the Raptors will win this one as the Nuggets have been anything but consistent. especially at home where it took them four attempts to win their first game.
