The Boston Celtics invade the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
The Celtics have won five of their last seven games and they'll be aiming for a third straight win after taking down the Timberwolves in a 99-93 road win on Monday. Isaiah Thomas led from the front with a game-high 29 points on nine of 20 shooting while Al Horford chipped in with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists as the Celtics rallied back from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter to pull off the unlikely victory. As a team, the Celtics shot 45.2 percent from the field while holding the Timberwolves to 41.9 percent shooting from the field and four of 24 from the 3-point arc. With the win, Boston improves to 8-6 overall and 4-4 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Nets are in a major slump as they've lost six of their last eight and their last four straight following Sunday's 129-109 home loss to the Trailblazers. Brook Lopez led the team with 21 points, Trevor Booker added 16 points while Bojan Bogdanovic had 15 points as the Nets shot 39.8 percent from the field and 10 of 35 from the 3-point line. Compare those stats to the Trailblazers who shot 57.6 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-poine line and it's actually surprising that the Nets didn't lose by a bigger margin. With the loss, Brooklyn drops to 4-9 overall and 3-3 at home.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, while the Nets are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a double-digit loss at home and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the Celtics are 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings in Brooklyn and the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings.
The Nets started the season surprisingly well, but they're just running out of troops and the losses are coming in now, so I'm going with the Celtics to take full advantage of the shorthanded Nets and win this one comfortably.
