The Toronto Raptors travel to the Toyota Center to take on the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
The Raptors started the season hot but have really cooled off with four losses in their last five games and they'll be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Clippers in a 123-115 defeat on Monday. Kyle Lowry led the team with 27 points with seven assists, DeMar DeRozan added 25 points with seven assists while Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 15 points as the Raptors shot 50 percent from the field, but it still wasn't enough to get past the red-hot Clippers who were led by 26 points each from Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. On the bright side, the Raptors showed plenty of fight in cutting a 17-point deficit in the second half to just four points in the final minutes of the game but they just left their run a little too late. WIth the loss, Toronto drops to 8-6 overall and 4-3 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Rockets will be gunning for a fourth straight win after sneaking past the Pistons in a 99-96 road win on Monday. James Harden steered the offense with 28 points and 11 assists, Clint Capela added 15 points with 12 rebounds while Trevor Ariza chipped in with 14 points as the Rockets escaped with the narrow win after the Pistons' Andre Drummond missed consecutive free throws which would have tied the game with just 4 seconds left on the clock. With the unconvincing win, Houston improves to 9-5 overall and 5-4 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Raptors are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Rockets are 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Raptors are 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine meetings in Houston and the home team is 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall.
The Raptors aren't playing terrible basketball but they definitely do seem to be in a bit of a rut as they've won just one of their last five, so I'm taking the Harden and the Rockets to win at home where they are a solid 4-1.
