The New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves duke it out tonight at the Target Center.
The Knicks will be hoping to avoid a third straight loss after falling to the Thunder by 112-103 on Monday. Derrick Rose led the way with 30 points, Kristaps Porzingis added 21 points with five blocks Courtney Lee had 13 points but it wasn't enough to keep up with the Thunder's Russell Westbrook who racked up another triple-double. The Knicks needed more production from Carmelo Anthony who shot just four of 19 from the field to finish with 18 points. With the loss, New York drops back below .500 to a record of 8-9 overall and 7-3 at home.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have lost five of their last six games and are in danger of losing a third straight following Monday's 112-103 home loss to the Jazz. Zach LaVine scored a game-high 28 points with eight rebounds and eight assists, Karl-Anthony Towns added 19 points with 12 rebounds while Andrew Wiggins had 13 points with four assists, but the Jazz's backcourt duo of George Hill and Gordon Hayward were too tough to contain without fouling and they would capitalize by combining to shoot 22 of 26 from the free-throw line. With the loss, Minnesota drops to 5-12 overall and 3-5 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games, while the Wolves are 18-38-1 ATS in their last 57 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the Knicks are 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Minnesota and the Road team is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings.
The Wolves are definitely in a slump as their only win in their last six outings came against a shorthanded Suns team, but it's not like the Knicks are winning games themselves so this one feels like a bit of a coin flip. The Wolves with the points at home feels tempting but I'd rather bank on the talent of the Knicks to get me through.
