The Los Angeles Clippers and the New Orleans Pelicans duke it out tonight at the Smoothie King Center on Friday night.
The Clippers were able to put a halt to a three-game skid with a dominant 113-94 win over the defending champion Cavaliers last night. JJ Redick led the scoring with 23 points on nine of 13 shooting, Chris Paul added 16 points with nine assists while Blake Griffin chipped in with 13 points and 11 assists as the Clippers dominated the Cavaliers by a combined 61-37 in the second and third quarters to set up the easy win and improve to 15-5 overall and 8-3 on the road where they had lost three straight before last night.

Meanwhile, the Pelicans have won six of their last nine games and they'll be looking to build on Tuesday's 105-88 blowout win over the Lakers. Anthony Davis led from the front with 41 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, four steals and two blocks, Jrue Holiday was inserted into the starting lineup next to Tim Frazier and had himself 22 points with five assists as the Pelicans made light work of the Lakers to improve to 7-12 overall and 5-5 at home where they've won their last five.
Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-7 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Pelicans are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall.
Head to head, the Clippers are 10-24 ATS in the last 34 meetings overall and 5-16 ATS in the last 21 meetings in New Orleans.
The Pelicans are a team on the rise now that they're getting healthy while the Clippers are coming off a much-needed marquee win, so this one could be a close one. The Clippers did a great job of putting it all together last night but I think they're due for a letdown performance after such a win so I'm leaning towards the Pelicans in a minor upset here.
