The Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs do battle at the AT&T Center on Thursday night.
The Los Angeles Lakers have won three of their last five games but they will still be tending to their wounds after getting thrashed in a 108-87 loss to the Trailblazers on Tuesday. Luol Deng scored 14 points, Brandon Ingram added 11 points while Louis Williams chipped in with 10 points but the Lakers were completely blown out of the water by 53-30 in the second half after trailing by just two points going into halftime. Interestingly, the Lakers were right in the game until an altercation between D'Angelo Russell and Damian Lillard seemed to spark the Trailblazers in the third quarter where the Lakers were held to just 12 points. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 15-27 on the season and 10-11 at home.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have won seven of their last nine games overall but they will still be scratching their heads after losing to the Bucks by 109-107 on Tuesday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 30 points on 10 of 16 shooting while Tony Parker, Danny Green and Jonathan Simmons all chipped in with 14 points each but just when it looked like the Spurs were about to cruise to another easy home win, the Bucks turned to Michael Beasley who scored a season-high 28 points. It was a particularly disappointing start to the fourth quarter for the Spurs as they managed just 11 points in the first 8:22 of the period and it ended even worse as Manu Ginobili hit the side of the backboard on the potential game-winning three as time expired. With the loss, San Antonio drops to 30-8 overall and 13-6 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record, 4-11 ATS in their last 15 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a double-digit loss at home. Meanwhile, the Spurs are 9-0 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a losing record, 8-1 ATS in their last nine home games and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games overall.
Head to head, the Lakers are 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in San Antonio, the under is 19-8 in the last 27 meetings in San Antonio and the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings overall.
The Spurs will be eager to get back to winning ways with a comfortable win at home and they've run into a slumping Lakers team struggling for consistency. Take San Antonio to win this one by double digits behind a big night from Leonard.
