The Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder do battle at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Monday night.
The Golden State Warriors have won five of their last eight games and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after blowing past the Bucks in a 117-92 rout on Saturday. Stephen Curry led the team in scoring with 28 points on nine of 13 shooting, Klay Thompson added 21 points while Andre Iguodala chipped in with 15 points off the bench as the Warriors dominated the Bucks in a 36-15 second quarter to put the game to bed at halftime. As a team, the Warriors shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 12 of 23 from the three-point line as they stayed hot after crushing the Magic by 30 points on Thursday. With the win, Golden State improved to 55-14 on the season and 29-4 at home.
Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in strong form themselves as they'll be aiming to build on their five-game win streak after Saturday's 110-94 win over the Kings. Russell Westbrook led the way with 28 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists, Doug McDermott added 21 points off the bench while Steven Adams chipped in with 16 points and 13 rebounds as the Thunder dominated the Kings by 63-41 in the first half before cruising in the second half. With the win, Oklahoma City improved to 40-29 on the season which is currently good for sixth place in the Western Conference standings.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Meanwhile, the Thunder are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games and 5-0 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Warriors are 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 3-8-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Oklahoma City. The home team is 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings and the over is 11-4 in the last 15 meetings in Oklahoma City.
Westbrook and the Thunder have been in great form lately and you just know they'll be ready for this matchup against the Warriors. However, the Warriors have already beaten the Thunder by double digits three times this season and I think they complete the sweep even without Durant in the lineup.
