The Line: Sacramento Kings -1 -- Over/Under: 202 See the Latest Odds

The Sacramento Kings welcome the San Antonio Spurs to the Golden 1 Center in NBA preseason action on Monday.

The San Antonio Spurs seem to be the constant in an always changing world as the team is championship caliber behind a defense first mindset The Spurs finished 61-21 in 2016-17 to capture the Southwest division by six games over the Houston Rockets before falling to Golden State in the Western Conference Finals when star Kawhi Leonard was lost to injury. San Antonio was middle of the row at 105 points but were stingy defensively with the second ranked ‘D’ allowing 98 points. The Spurs will only go as far as leading scorer Leonard will take them as he can pass and rebound as well while LaMarcus Aldridge provides more scoring and rebounding. San Antonio will look to coax another productive season from Pau Gasol and Tony Parker while the biggest free agent signing in Rudy Gay might be the piece the team needs to hold off Houston in the division.

The Sacramento Kings were a non factor in the Pacific with a 32-50 record that was good for third, ahead of both the Lakers and Suns. The Kings struggled at both ends of the floor with the number 24 offense averaging under 103 points while the defense allowed around 107 points to rank 19th. Sacramento is a team where the average fan probably knows little about with both DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay gone leaving the offense looking for some go to scorers. That leaves Buddy Hield as the Kings top returning scorer at 15 points. Zach Randolph, George Hill and 40 year old Vince Carter were brought in to provide veteran leadership so the team will look to develop young guys such as Wilie Cauley-Stein, De’Aaron Fox and Skal Labissiere.

The over is 9-2 in Spurs last 11 road games and the over is 16-5 in Spurs last 21 overall while Spurs are 5-14 ATS in their last 19 Monday games. Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and the under is 10-4 in Kings last 14 Monday games. Spurs are 1-3-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and Spurs are 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Sacramento while the under is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings in Sacramento.
