The Toronto Raptors opened their preseason schedule with a 121-113 victory versus the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night. The sharpshooting Raptors sank half their looks and owned the backboards but were sloppy with 21 turnovers. Seven Raptors reached double figures led by Kyle Lowry with 17 points on a 3-4 effort from beyond the arc followed by Norman Powell with 16 points on 5-8 from the floor. Danilo Gallinari and Lou Wlliams each scored 17 points for Los Angeles while Patrick Beverley added 14 points on 4-6 from the field. De Andre Jordan topped the Clippers with nine rebounds to go with six points. The Raptors had more balanced scoring throughout the lineup while Los Angeles received more scoring from fewer players. Both teams looked to be in mid season form at times but the combined 40 turnovers was somewhat expected in the first preseason game of the year.
