The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers meet for the second time in NBA preseason action on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Lakers struggled to get enough stops on the perimeter in a 113-107 defeat to the Denver Nuggets on Monday night. Los Angeles did well offensively with 45.8% marksmanship although the offense was hurt badly from beyond the arc on a 9-25 effort. The Lakers were up to the task on the backboards with 12 more rebounds but that advantage was negated by 22 giveaways. Kyle Kuzma was the big gun for Los Angeles with 23 points on 9-17 from the floor including four bombs while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 15 points and five pulls followed by Julius Randle with 12 points and eleven rebounds.

The Denver Nuggets looked good in their preseason opener with plenty of offense leading the way to a win. However, Denver has a few areas that need improvement such as rebounding where the team was outmuscled and ball protection as 19 turnovers were far too many and negated the 22 giveaways by Los Angeles. The Nuggets connected on shots at just over 45% which wasn’t out of the ordinary but a 15-29 performance from three point land was and was the reason for overcoming mistakes and rebounding issues. Gary Harris paced Denver with a game high 25 points on 8-11 including five from distance while Nikola Jolic netted 16 points.

Under is 4-0 in Lakers last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and under is 5-0 in Lakers last 5 overall and under is 4-0 in Lakers last 4 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. Over is 4-0-1 in the last 5 meetings in Los Angeles and Nuggets are 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Los Angeles and Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
It's very tough to beat an opponent two straight times regardless if it's preseason but I'm asking Denver to do that...
