The New Orleans Pelicans lock horns with the Chicago Bulls in an NBA matchup at the United Center Sunday.
The New Orleans Pelicans visit the United Center to face the Chicago Bulls in a Sunday tilt. New Orleans will be looking to bounce back from a 102-91 defeat at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night where the offense was up and down and couldn’t provide consistent scoring. The defense also came up short as well with the Thunder winning the shooting battle 48.6%-39% that resulted in four more makes from the field. Anthony Davis was the Pelicans top offensive threat with 14 points and seven yanks on 4-9 while DeMarcus Cousins was next in line with 13 points on 4-10 from the floor. Ian Clark and Jrue Holiday each netted eleven points with Holiday handing out six helpers followed by a ten point, seven rebound effort from Perry Jones.

The Chicago Bulls look for another win when the New Orleans Pelicans visit the Windy City on Sunday. Chicago comes off of a 114-101 victory versus the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. Milwaukee shot the ball well at 46.8% but the Bucks simply couldn’t keep up with the torrid 51.8% marksmanship of the Bulls who were an out of this world 17-34 from beyond the arc. Justin Holiday led all scorers with 21 points with a 5-7 performance on threes while the threesome of Denzel Valentine, Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic netted 15 points apiece with Mirotic and Portis combining for 17 rebounds. Robin Lopez and Kris Dunn gave Chicago another 12 and eleven points respectively as the Bulls had far too many weapons.
Pelicans are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game and Pelicans are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game and Pelicans are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. Under is 5-0 in Bulls last 5 home games and Bulls are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and under is 7-1 in Bulls last 8 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game. Pelicans are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Chicago and Pelicans are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings and under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Chicago.
The Chicago Bulls looked better in their last preseason game than they did in their blowout loss to the Mavericks, and they're playing a Pelicans squad that's 0-2 and already lost to Chicago at home. There's value in taking bad teams in the preseason, as those are the teams fighting for open playing time and creates comp acrosss the board. I'll take the free bucket with Chicago at home based on its last game and the fact it already beat the Pelicans this preseason.
