The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers meet Friday in NBA preseason action at the Sprint Center.

Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 15 points and two rebounds while James Johnson had 12 points and four assists. Tyler Johnson was the third double-digit scorer and Justise Winslow dished nine assists. The Heat are building some momentum on the offensive end and will continue to play their roll players a lot with Goran Dragic, Dion Waiters and Hassan Whiteside likely being shutdown until Wednesday’s season opener. The Philadelphia 76ers look for another victory to build on their 1-3 preseason record. In a win over the Brooklyn Nets, the 76ers shot 51.1 percent from the field and had 25 assists. Dario Saric led the 76ers with 26 points and nine rebounds while Joel Embiid had 22 points and three assists. JJ Redick was the third double-digit scorer and Ben Simmons dished six assists. The 76ers have allowed 100-plus points in all four games, but they’re coming off an offensive clinic in which they moved the ball and got quality look after quality look. As the 76ers continue to get comfortable playing together, this is going to be a fun and exciting team to watch in the East this season. The Philadelphia 76ers have lost eight of their last 10 preseason games.
The Heat are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest and the under is 6-1 in Heat last 7 Friday games. The 76ers are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 Friday games. The over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Philadelphia.
Even with the Heat shutting down their best players, they're still a better team than the 76ers and have many guys fighting for either a roster spot or key rotation minutes. The 76ers have been the trendy pick this preseason and continue to come up short both SU and ATS. So, I've learned my lesson. I'll take the better team and my free buckets.
