The NBA comes to Madison Square Garden when the Washington Wizards visit the New York Knicks Thursday.
The Washington Wizards will be trying to avoid consecutive defeats when the team goes on the road to face the New York Knicks. Washington comes off of a 117-115 defeat at the Miami Heat where the defense left the building after holding Miami to 19 points in the first quarter. Both teams checked in with nearly 50% shooting but the gam was decided from the perimeter where the Heat held a 16-7 advantage on three pointers.

The Knicks 44.8% from the floor fell well short of staying competitive and negated 25 forced turnovers and 13 more looks at the basket. Tim Hardaway Jr. was New York’s top scorer with 21 points on 8-17 from the floor with Damyean Dotson and Michael Beasley each netting 17 points on combined 14-21 shooting while Enes Kanter rounded out the top scorers with 14 points and eight rebounds on 6-13.

This is still the preseason so lineups and playing time is always an unknown but if this were played as a rgular season game I'd back Washington...
