The Sacramento Kings and the New York Knicks collide at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
The Sacramento Kings have lost eight of their first 11 games of the season but they will be gunning for a third straight win after sneaking past the 76ers in a 109-108 home win on Thursday. Zach Randolph led the team with 20 points and seven rebounds, Justin Jackson added 19 points off the bench while Willie Cauley-Stein chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Kings shot 43 percent from the field and 12 of 27 from the three-point line, but with the game on the line, the ball went to the rookie De’Aaron Fox who calmly drained the game-winning shot with 13.4 seconds left on the clock to finish with 11 points.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have won six of their last eight games but they will be looking to bounce back from Wednesday’s 112-99 loss at Orlando. Tim Hardaway Jr. led the team with 26 points and 11 rebounds, Doug McDermott added 13 points off the bench while Courtney Lee chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Knicks shot 53 percent from the field while outrebounding the Magic by 49-38, but they committed a total of 23 turnovers leading to 29 points for the Magic. Kristaps Porzingis sat out the game with soreness in his ankle and elbow but is expected to return for Saturday’s clash.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 0-4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. Meanwhile, the Knicks are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall.
Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings, the road team is 6-1-1 AT S in the last eight meetings and the Kings are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in New York.
The Kings were easily one of the worst teams to start the season but they have really sprung to life with two wins in their last two games. However, the Knicks have been playing some great basketball in their last eight games and I expect them to bounce back at home with Porzingis back on the court. This should be a close one, but the Kings are just 1-5 on the road while the Knicks are a solid 5-2 at home.
