The Orlando Magic and the Indiana Pacers duke it out at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday night.
The Orlando Magic started the season winning eight of their first 12 games but they’ve since lost eight straight after getting blown out by the 76ers in a 130-111 loss on Saturday. Elfrid Payton led the team with 22 points, eight rebounds and nine assists, Aaron Gordon added 16 points while Nikola Vucevic and DJ Augustin chipped in with 14 points each. As a team, the Magic shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 31 from the three-point line, but their defensive struggles continued as they allowed the 76ers’ JJ Redick torch them for eight three-pointers. What was more disappointing was that the 76ers were also playing without rookie sensation Ben Simmons. With the loss, Orlando dropped to 8-12 on the season and 4-8 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in much better form lately, but they will be looking to bounce back after having their five-game win streak snapped by the Celtics in a 108-98 on Saturday. Myles Turner had an efficient scoring night of 19 points on seven of nine shooting, Domantas Sabonis added 17 points while Lance Stephenson added 16 points with five assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 48 percent from the field and seven of 23 from the three-point line as they started strong to lead the Celtics by 54-45 at halftime, only to get steamrolled in the third quarter by 37-16. With the loss, Indiana dropped to 11-9 on the season and 5-4 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss, 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Meanwhile, the Pacers are 22-6 ATS in their last 28 games following a double digit loss at home, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings, the Magic are 5-18 ATS in the last 23 meetings overall and 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings in Indiana.
These two teams last met on Monday and it was the Pacers who won by 105-97 thanks to 29 points from Victor Oladipo who was excited to play against one of his former teams. The Pacers have since gone on a roll since that win, while the Magic still can't buy a win these days. With that being said, I'm taking the Pacers to bounce back with another win over the Magic in this one.
