The Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers duke it out at the STAPLES Center on Wednesday night.
The Golden State Warriors looked to have cooled off a bit as they’ve now lost three of their last seven games after falling to the Kings by 110-106 on Monday. Klay Thompson led the way with 21 points, Patrick McCaw added 16 points with seven assists while Draymond Green added 14 points with eight assists. As a team, the Warriors shot 50 percent from the field and 16 of 37 from the three-point line but they clearly struggled without Stephen Curry in the lineup as Thompson shot just seven of 20 from the field while Green shot just four of 15 from the field. With the loss, Golden State dropped to 15-6 overall and 8-3 at home.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have lost seven of their last 10 games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting edged out by the Clippers in a 120-115 loss on Monday. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the team with 29 points on 12 of 28 shooting, Brandon Ingram and Jordan Clarkson added 17 points each while Kyle Kuzma chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Lakers shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the three-point line as they fell just short in a game that was closely contest from start to finish. With the loss, Los Angeles dropped to 8-12 on the season and just 2-7 on the road.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 road games against a team with a winning home record, 0-4 ATS in their last four road games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall. Meanwhile, the Lakers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings, the under is 7-1 in the last eight meetings and the Warriors are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings.
The news is that Curry is expected to return to the lineup which is obviously a big boost for the Warriors who have had to deal with a couple of injuries lately. The Lakers have shown they can compete with anyone at home where they’ve won their last two games, but the Warriors have covered in 14 of their last 19 road games and I'm expecting another double-digit win for them here.
