The Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat duke it out at the American Airlines Arena on Sunday night.
The Golden State Warriors have won four of their last five games and they will be gunning for a third straight win after blowing past the Magic by 133-112 on Friday. Klay Thompson led the scoring with 27 points on 11 of 14 shooting, Kevin Durant added 25 points while Stephen Curry had 23 points with 10 assists. As a team, the Warriors shot a ridiculous 62 percent from the field and 12 of 24 from the three-point line as they poured in 78 points in the first half to cruise to the easy win to improve to 17-6 on the season and 9-3 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have won four of their last six games and they will be looking to build on Friday’s 105-100 win over the Hornets. Josh Richardson broke out of his shooting slump with a career-high 27 points on 11 of 14 shooting, Dion Waiters added 19 points while the bench combined for 44 points. As a team, the Heat shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the three-point line as they outlasted the slumping Hornets. Goran Dragic had a tough night as he finished with just seven points on three of 12 shooting, while Bam Adebayo finished with one points, four steals and two blocks as he continues to fill in for Hassan Whiteside who won’t be back for at least another week.
Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a win of more than 10 points, 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Meanwhile, the Heat are 3-12-2 ATS in their last 17 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600 and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win.
Head to head, the road team is 16-6-4 ATS in the last 26 meetings, the Warriors are 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings and 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings in Miami.
The Heat have been struggling since Whiteside went down with injury but they were good enough to upset the Hornets in their last outing. However, the Warriors have been in great form and should be way too good for the shorthanded Heat in this one. I like the Heat’s backcourt to keep them in the game in the first half, but the Warriors’ depth should eventually be too much to handle in this one.
