Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have lost six of their last nine games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling to the Clippers in a 113-105 road loss on Tuesday. Tyreke Evans led the team with 18 points and six assists, Mario Chalmers added 15 points while Marc Gasol chipped in with 11 points and five assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 48 percent from the field and eight of 26 from the three-point line as they poured in 62 points in the first half but managed just 21 points in the fourth quarter as they were unable to stop the Clippers’ Lou Williams who scorched them for 33 points off the bench. With the loss, Memphis dropped to 12-26 overall and 5-14 on the road.
Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games. The Grizzlies are 3-13-1 A TS in their last 17 home games, 2-11 ATS in their last 13 against the Eastern Conference and 7-18-2 ATS in their last 27 games overall.
Head to head, the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the Wizards are 3-8-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Memphis.
The Grizzlies are clearly still in a slump as they still haven’t won two consecutive games since late October and their last two wins came against struggling teams in the Lakers and the Kings. With that being said, the Wizards have been on a roll lately and they’ll look to stay hot with another easy win and cover in this one against a Grizzlies team who have only covered in three of their last 17 home games.
