The Memphis Grizzlies and the Indiana Pacers duke it out at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Memphis Grizzlies have won five of their last eight games and they will be looking to build on Monday’s 120-109 home win over the Suns. Tyreke Evans led the team with 27 points on 11 of 17 shooting off the bench, Wayne Selden added 17 points with six assists while Marc Gasol chipped in with a double-double of 12 points with 10 rebounds. As a team, the Grizzlies shot a healthy 56 percent from the field and 11 of 22 from the three-point line as they poured in a season-high 42 points in the second quarter before cruising in the second half. To be fair, the Suns were shorthanded as they were without their leading scorer in Devin Booker. With the win, Memphis improved to 18-31 overall and 13-15 at home.
Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in great form as they’ve won four of their last five games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Hornets in a 105-96 home win on Monday. Victor Oladipo led the team with 25 points on 11 of 15 shooting, Myles Turner added 22 points on eight of 11 shooting off the bench while Thaddeus Young chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Pacers shot 54 percent from the field and just six of 21 from the three-point line but in a game that was closely contested for three quarters, it was the Pacers who went on a decisive 22-7 run in the fourth quarter to come out on top. With the win, Indiana improved to 28-23 overall and 17-10 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a win of more than 10 points, 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following a win and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. Meanwhile, the Pacers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record.
Head to head, the home team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings, the under is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings in Indiana and the Grizzlies are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings.
The Grizzlies looked great in their last win especially in the second quarter where they finished with a season high for points in a quarter, but it’s hard to get too excited about a win over the Suns who were playing without their leading scorer. On the other hand, the Pacers are really starting to heat up four wins in their last five outings and they’ve already beaten the Grizzlies by 116-113 back on Nov 15. With that being said, I’m rolling with the Pacers who have covered in five of their last seven home games.
