The Philadelphia 76ers and the Indiana Pacers do battle at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers have split their last six games but they were able to snap a three-game skid with last night’s 103-97 home win over the Heat. Ben Simmons led the way with 20 points and five assists, Joel Embiid and Dario Saric each scored 17 points while JJ Redick and Robert Covington each scored 13 points. As a team, the 76ers shot 49 percent from the field and eight of 24 from the three-point line as they dominated the Heat for three quarters to lead by as many as 28 points early in the fourth quarter before resting their starters as the Heat’s reserves made a run to keep the final score respectable. With the much-needed win, Philadelphia improved to 25-24 overall and 13-10 at home.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have won five of their last seven games but they will be aiming to bounce back from last night’s 133-126 loss at Charlotte. Victor Oladipo led the team with 35 points on 11 of 21 shooting, Myles Turner added 19 points with 11 rebounds while Bogdan Bogdanovic chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Pacers shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the three-point line but they were always fighting an uphill battle after they allowed a ridiculous 49 points in the first quarter. The Pacers did eventually cut the deficit to just four points but they couldn’t get over the line as they fell to 29-24 overall and 11-14 on the road.
Looking at the betting trends, the 76ers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games, 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days’ rest. Meanwhile, the Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last five against the NBA Atlantic and 17-35-1 ATS in their last 53 games playing on zero days’ rest.
Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings, the 76ers are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Indiana.
The 76ers were really in a bit of a funk before last night’s home win over the Heat, while the Pacers were playing great basketball before last night’s loss to the Hornets. These two squads have only met once so far this season with the 76ers winning by 121-110 back on Nov 3 but I like the in-form Pacers to bounce back with a win here as the 76ers have covered in just one of their last seven road games.
