The Atlanta Hawks invade the Amway Center to take on the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.
The Atlanta Hawks have lost five of their last eight games but they will be gunning for a third straight victory after blowing past the Grizzlies in a 108-82 rout on Tuesday. Dennis Schroder led the team with 22 points and five assists, John Collins added 15 points with 10 rebounds off the bench while Kent Bazemore chipped in with 10 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 50 percent from the field and eight of 25 from the three-point line which was more than enough to beat the struggling Grizzlies who never threatened after managing just 35 points in the first half. With the win, Atlanta improved to 17-37 overall and 12-16 at home.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have won three of their last four games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the Cavaliers in a thrilling 116-98 home win on Tuesday. Jonathan Simmons led the team with 34 points on 12 of 17 shooting, Evan Fournier added 19 points while Elfrid Payton chipped in with 10 points and eight assists. As a team, the Magic shot 53 percent from the field and six of 22 from the three-point line as they outscored the Cavaliers by 65-31 in the second half to overcome a 21-point deficit. With the impressive win, Orlando improved to 17-36 overall and 10-14 at home where they have won three of their last five.
Looking at the betting trends, the Hawks are 4-16-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a win of more than 10 points, 1-8 ATS in their last nine against the Eastern Conference and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games following a win. Meanwhile, the Magic are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record, 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a win of more than 10 points and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games overall.
Head to head, the under is 39-17 in the last 56 meetings and the Hawks are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
The Magic have been in decent form and they will be full of confidence following their comeback win over the Cavaliers, but you could say the same for the Hawks who are coming off a big win of their own. These two teams have already met twice this season which each team winning at home, so I’m going with the Magic to get the win and cover as they’ve actually been a rock-solid 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games.
