Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers - 2/9/18 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Hawks could use a win here after losing six of their last nine games. The Atlanta Hawks are averaging 103.8 points on 45.1 percent shooting and allowing 107.8 points on 47.3 percent shooting. Dennis Schroder is averaging 19.4 points and 6.4 assists while Kent Bazemore is averaging 13.1 points and four rebounds. Taurean Prince is the third double-digit scorer and Marco Belinelli is grabbing 1.9 rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks are shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc and 79.5 percent from the free throw line. The Atlanta Hawks are allowing 37.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 40.6 rebounds per game. The Atlanta Hawks have split their last eight home games.

The Cavaliers are 2-14 ATS in their last 16 road games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Friday games and 14-36-1 ATS in their last 51 games overall. The Hawks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest, 1-8 ATS in their last 9 vs. Eastern Conference and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 Friday games. The Cavaliers are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings, the underdog is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings.

I'm not sure how the Atlanta Hawks are the underdog here when the Cleveland Cavaliers don't have a full roster. Not only did the Cavs trade away half their team, but Rodney Hood, George Hill, Larry Nance Jr. and Jordan Clarkson are all listed as doubtful for this contest. So, basically Cleveland will be playing LeBron, Klye Korver and who else? Assuming the status doesn't change for those guys, I'll gladly take the Hawks considering they're playing three guys.
