The New York Knicks pay a visit to Bankers Life Fieldhouse to battle the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

The New York Knicks have been in a slump as they’ve lost eight of their past 10 games and they will be hoping to snap an ugly five-game skid after getting routed by the Raptors in a 113-88 road loss on Thursday. Michael Beasley led the team with 21 points on seven of 13 shooting, Trey Burke added 12 points while Jarrett Jack chipped in with 10 points and six assists. As a team, the Knicks shot just 39 percent from the field and seven of 27 from the three-point line but this was a game in which they never led after scoring the opening basket. The Knicks’ reserves were outscored by the Raptors’ reserves by 61-35 and this could be the beginning of an ugly trend as Kristaps Porzingis is out for the season with that left ACL injury. With the loss, New York dropped to 23-33 overall and 7-22 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in solid form as they’ve won five of their last seven games and they will be looking to build on Friday’s 97-91 road win over the Celtics. Victor Oladipo led the team with 35 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, Myles Turner added 19 points with seven rebounds while Thaddeus Young and Bojan Bogdanovic each scored 13 points. As a team, the Pacers shot 44 percent from the field and five of 20 from the three-point line as they dominated the first half by 59-38 to lead by as many as 26 points, but they really had to fight in the end as the Celtics rallied all the way back in the fourth quarter. With the win, Indiana improved to 31-25 overall and 12-14 on the road.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games following a loss of more than 10 points, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Meanwhile, the Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six Sunday games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games against a team with a losing road record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win.

Head to head, the home team is 21-6 ATS in the last 27 meetings, the under is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings and the Knicks are 2-10 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Indiana.

The Knicks have been in terrible form lately and they didn't look any better in their first game without Porzingis, while the Pacers have been in great form and are coming off a nice win over the Celtics. We've seen the Pacers plenty of games against teams they should be beating easily, but the home team has covered in 21 of the last 27 meetings and I like that trend to continue in this one as these two teams are clearly headed in opposite directions at this point of the season.
