The Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder do battle at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Sunday.
The Memphis Grizzlies have lost seven of their past eight games and they will be hoping to snap a five-game skid after falling to the Jazz in a 92-88 home loss on Wednesday. Andrew Harrison led the team with 23 points on nine of 15 shooting, Marc Gasol added 20 points with five assists while JaMychal Green and Dillon Brooks each scored 11 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 42 percent from the field and eight of 23 from the three-point line but they just couldn’t get over the hump against the Jazz who pulled away late in the fourth quarter behind 29 points from Ricky Rubio. With the loss, Memphis dropped to 18-36 overall and 13-16 at home.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their last six games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting blown out by the Lakers in a 106-81 road loss on Thursday. Paul George led the team with 29 points on 11 of 25 shooting, while Steven Adams chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds but no other player scored more than eight points. As a team, the Thunder shot just 35 percent from the field and eight of 34 from the three-point line but they were simply blown off the court by 54-35 in the second half as they struggled without Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony who were both sidelined with injuries. With the loss, Oklahoma City dropped to 31-25 overall and 12-16 on the road.
Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games playing on three or more days rest, 1-6 ATS in their last seven Sunday games and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games overall. Meanwhile, the Thunder are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 home games, 5-14 ATS in their last 19 games against a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the home team is 15-5-2 ATS in the last 22 meetings, the Grizzlies are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 0-6 ATS in the last six meetings in Oklahoma City.
Both Westbrook and Anthony are considered questionable for Sunday as neither player practiced on Saturday. With that being said, the Grizzlies should see this as a great chance for an upset, but they've been playing so poorly lately that you couldn't back them with much confidence. The Thunder have covered in just six of their last 20 home games so I like the Grizzlies to keep this one close and come away with the cover, but only if Westbrook and Anthony sit out this game.
