The Indiana Pacers pay a visit to the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.

The Indiana Pacers have been in great form as they’ve won five of their last seven games and they will be gunning for a third straight win after sneaking past the Knicks in a 121-113 home win on Sunday. Victor Oladipo led the team with 30 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and six steals, Bojan Bogdanovic added 20 points while Thaddeus Young finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 28 from the three-point line as they dominated the shorthanded Knicks to lead by as many as 20 points before the Knicks’ bench made the most of garbage time to keep the final score respectable. With the win, Indiana improved to 32-25 overall and 20-11 at home where they have actually won seven of their last eight.

USA TODAY Sports

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a major slump as they’ve lost 10 of their last 11 games and they will be hoping to snap a six-game skid after blowing past the Clippers in a 114-101 home win on Monday. D’Angelo Russell and Joe Harris led the team in scoring with 16 points each, Allen Crabbe added 15 points while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 13 points and eight assists. As a team, the Nets shot 46 percent from the field and 12 of 40 from the three-point line but they were slow out of the gates and were always playing from behind after getting outscored by 34-22 in the first quarter. The Nets trailed by 15 points at the half and by as many as 23 points after three quarters. With the loss, Brooklyn dropped to 19-39 overall and 11-20 at home.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a losing home record and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games playing on two days’ rest. Meanwhile, the Nets are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 against the Eastern Conference, 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Head to head, the over is 38-17-1 in the last 56 meetings, the Pacers are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 12-5 ATS in the last 17 meetings in Brooklyn.

The Nets have been struggling mightily lately as they haven’t been to buy a win against anyone, let alone the Pacers who have already beaten them three times this season. The Nets are clearly a team on the decline while the Pacers have quietly been a team on the rise so I’m keeping this one simple and taking the Pacers to complete the season sweep with a win and cover in this one.
