The Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles duke it out at the STAPLES Center on Tuesday night.
The Denver Nuggets have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their last six games and they will be gunning for a third straight win after making light work of the Kings in a 130-104 home win on Sunday. Nikola Jokic led the team with a triple-double of 20 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, Jamal Murray added 20 points with five assists while Gary Harris finished with a team-high 21 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 56 percent from the field and 15 of 37 from the three-point line as they dominated the Kings by 17 points in the first half before putting the game to bed with a 35-19 third quarter. With the win, Denver improved to 37-30 overall and 26-10 at home.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in great form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Cavaliers in a 127-113 home win on Sunday. Julius Randle had a monster game of 36 points with 14 rebounds and seven assists while shooting 14 of 18 from the field. Brook Lopez added 22 points while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Isaiah Thomas each chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Lakers shot 50 percent from the field and 13 of 34 from the three-point line as they took over in the third quarter where they outscored the Cavaliers by 33-22 to take a 12-point lead going into the fourth. With the win, Los Angeles improved to 30-36 overall and 17-15 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Denver Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against the Western Conference, 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a win of more than 10 points and 7-3-2 ATS in their last 12 road games against a team with a winning home record. Meanwhile, the Lakers are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 home games, 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games against a team with a losing road record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Head to head, the home team is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings, the Nuggets are 15-5 ATS in the last 20 meetings and 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Los Angeles.
The Nuggets haven’t been at their best lately but they looked great in their big win over the Kings and they’ve covered in seven of the last nine meetings in LA. However, the Lakers have been playing their best basketball of the season and are a young team coming fresh off a win over the Cavaliers. You could make an argument for either team here, but I’m sticking with the Lakers to stay hot with another big win at home.
