The Toronto Raptors pay a visit to the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Thursday night.
The Toronto Raptors have been on fire lately as they’ve now won 16 of their last 17 games and they will be gunning for a 10th straight win after beating the Nets in a 116-102 road win on Tuesday. Jonas Valanciunas dominate the paint with 26 points on 12 of 20 shooting, DeMar DeRozan and Fred VanVleet each scored 16 points while Kyle Lowry chipped in with 11 points and 11 assists. As a team, the Raptors shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the three-point line but this game wasn’t easy at all as the Nets put them on the back foot early with a 40-point barrage in the first quarter. Still, the Raptors managed to hang around until they outscored the Nets by 59-35 in the second half to win the game and improve to 50-17 overall and 22-12 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in pretty strong form themselves as they’ve won six of their last seven games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight win after escaping Philadelphia with a 101-98 win on Tuesday. Myles Turner led the team with 25 points on nine of 12 shooting, Thaddeus Young added 19 points with 10 rebounds while Cory Joseph chipped in with 13 points and five assists. As a team, the Pacers shot just 40 percent from the field and five of 24 from the three-point line but they made up for that on the defensive end as they forced the 76ers into 21 turnovers leading to 29 points. Victor Oldipo had his worst shooting game of the season as he shot just four of 21 for his 11 points. With the win, Indiana improved to 40-28 overall and 17-16 on the road.
Looking at the betting trends, the Raptors are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a win of more than 10 points and 4-1- ATS in their last five games overall. Meanwhile, the Pacers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the under is 7-0 in the last seven meetings in Indiana and the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. The Raptors are 2-7 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in Indiana.
The Pacers have been playing pretty well lately and they really had to scrap in their narrow win over the 76ers on Tuesday, but the Raptors have been the hottest team in the league and it’s been a real team effort as coach Casey hasn’t been shy with the rotations. The Pacers have covered in seven of the last nine meetings and four of their last five home games, but I’m not backing against this red-hot Raptors team while they’re in this mood.
