The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to South Beach to battle the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena on Tuesday.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been gaining some momentum with eight wins in their last 11 games and they will be aiming for a sixth straight win after beating the Nets by 121-114 on Sunday. LeBron James led the team with 37 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists, Kevin Love added 20 points with 15 rebounds and four assists while Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 50 percent from the field and 12 of 28 from the three-point line as they battled with the Nets for most of the game until pulling away in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Nets by 34-25. With the win, Cleveland improved to 44-29 overall and 19-18 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat could really do with a win streak as they’ve lost four of their last seven games and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling to the Pacers in a 113-107 overtime road loss on Sunday. Tyler Johnson led the team with 19 points and four assists, James Johnson added 15 points with nine rebounds while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Heat shot 47 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the three-point line but fell just short in overtime after outscoring the Pacers by 22-14 in the fourth quarter to tie the game. With the loss, Miami dropped to 39-35 overall which is good for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Looking at the betting trends, the Cavaliers are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 road games, 7-15 ATS in their last 22 games against a team with a winning record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. Meanwhile, the Heat are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games, 15-3-3 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a winning record and 12-4-3 ATS in their last 19 games overall.
Head to head, the home team is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings and the Cavaliers are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Miami.
It’s always going to be a big show when LeBron faces his former team and the Cavaliers have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 11. The Heat have been in a bit of a slump lately and they’ll be kicking themselves after falling to the Pacers in overtime, but the home team is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings and the Heat are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games. This one should be a close one, but I think the Heat come away with the win to get their season back on track.
