The Indiana Pacers and the Sacramento Kings duke it out at the Golden 1 Center on Thursday night.
The Indiana Pacers have been in great form lately as they’ve won 10 of their last 14 games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight win after taking down the severely shorthanded Warriors in a 92-81 road win on Tuesday. Victor Oladipo led the team with 24 points and six assists on nine of 12 shooting, Thaddeus Young added 17 points with 10 rebounds while Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in with 17 points on seven of 13 shooting. As a team, the Pacers shot 48 percent from the field and just six of 21 from the three-point line but after falling behind in the first half, the Pacers dominated the second half by 53-33 to come away with the game. With the win, Indiana improved to 44-31 overall which is good for fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings haven’t played too poorly this month as they’ve actually won six of 14 games since Mar 1, but they’ve lost four of their last five games and will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling to the Mavericks in a 103-97 loss on Tuesday. Skal Labissiere led the team with 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists, Kosta Koufos added 15 points while Buddy Hield chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Kings shot just 40 percent from the field and six of 23 from the three-point line but they left themselves too much ground to make up after falling behind by 18 points with 3:44 left in the game. With the loss, Sacramento dropped to 24-51 overall and 13-25 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. Meanwhile, the Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 against the Eastern Conference.
Head to head, the under is 5-1 in the last six meetings and the underdog is 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings.
The Kings haven’t been in the best of form, but they’ve shown glimpses of promise during the last four weeks. However, the Pacers have been playing great basketball lately, they will be full of confidence following their win over the Warriors and they simply have too much to play for with the playoffs just around the corner. The Pacers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and I think that trend continues in this one.
