The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets duke it out at the Toyota Center on Saturday night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have hit a bit of a rough patch as they’ve lost four of their last five games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling to the shorthanded Warriors by 111-107 on Tuesday. Russell Westbrook came ready to play and led the team with 44 points, 16 rebounds and six assists, but he had little support as Paul George scored 20 points on just five of 19 shooting while Carmelo Anthony shot just four of 16 for his 12 points. As a team, the Thunder shot 37 percent from the field and nine of 38 from the three-point line as but they just couldn’t get over the line despite outscoring the Warriors by 34-27 in the third quarter. With the loss, Oklahoma City dropped to 45-34 overall which is currently good for sixth place in the Western Conference standings.

USA TODAY Sports

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been on fire lately as they’ve won 13 of their last 14 games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after sneaking past the Trailblazers in a 96-94 home win on Thursday. Chris Paul led the way with 27 points and five assists, James Harden added 24 points with seven assists while Clint Capela chipped in with 11 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Rockets shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 37 from the three-point line as they seemingly had the game in control after leading by 66-44 at halftime, but they had to scrap in the second half and were fortunate to come away with the win on the back of a clutch layup with just 0.8 seconds left. With the win, Houston improved to 64-15 overall and 34-6 at home.

Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 1-4 ATS in their last five against the Western Conference and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. Meanwhile, the Rockets are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five against the Western Conference.

Head to head, the road team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings but the Thunder are just 4-13 ATS in the last 17 meetings overall.

The Thunder really haven’t been anywhere near their best over the past couple of weeks and they are just 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. Meanwhile, the Rockets have been on fire and they are a healthy 13-4 ATS in their last 17 meetings. These teams have split two meetings this season but given their current form, I’m looking at the Rockets to stay hot with another win and cover here.
