Cleveland Cavaliers vs. New York Knicks - 4/11/18 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The New York Knicks have been in a real slump as they've lost six of their last seven games and they will be hoping to bounce back after falling to the Cavaliers in a 123-109 home loss on Monday. Michael Beasley led the team with 20 points while Frank Ntilikina and Courtney Lee each scored 17 points. As a team, the Knicks shot 52 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the three-point line but they were always fighting an uphill battle after the Cavaliers outscored them by 35-24 in the second quarter to take a 12-point halftime lead. With the loss, New York dropped to 28-53 overall and 19-22 at home.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great form as they've won 10 of their last 12 games and they will be looking to cap off their regular season on a high note after taking down the Knicks on Monday. Kevin Love led the team in scoring with 28 points on nine of 17 shooting, LeBron James added 26 points with 11 assists while Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 16 points off the bench. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 47 percent from the field but it was their long distance shooting that proved to be too much as they drained 19 of 45 from the three-point line thanks largely to Love who drained six. With the win, Cleveland improved to 50-31 overall which is currently good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games against a team with a winning record, 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games, 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall.

Head to head, the road team is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings, the Knicks are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers could really do with this win as they're still within reach of the third seed in the Eastern Conference and they've already beaten the Knicks three times this season, twice by double-digits. The road team is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings but the Cavaliers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and with so much on the line, I'm going with the Cavaliers who are 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games.
