The Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder duke it out at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday night.
The Memphis Grizzlies will be hoping to cap off a forgettable season with a win but they’ve now lost five of their last six games after falling to the Timberwolves in a 113-94 road loss on Monday. Ben McLemore led the team with 18 points, Dillon Brooks added 15 points while MarShon Brooks chipped in with 14 points and five assists off the bench. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 41 percent from the field and five of 18 from the three-point line as they started strong in the first quarter before getting outplayed the rest of the way to the Timberwolves who just had too many weapons. With the loss, Memphis falls to 22-59 overall and 6-34 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a bit of a slump with five losses in their last nine games but they will be aiming for a third straight win after blowing past the Heat in a 115-93 road win on Monday. Paul George led the team in scoring with 27 points, Russell Westbrook racked up a triple-double of 23 points with 18 rebounds and 13 assists while Jerami Grant chipped in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Thunder shot 43 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the three-point line but this game was close all the way until the fourth quarter where the Thunder dominated the Heat by 39-12 to come out on top. With the win, Oklahoma City improved to 47-34 overall which is good for seventh place in the Western Conference standings.
Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 games following a loss of more than 10 points, 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. Meanwhile, the Thunder are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four home games and 6-13-1 ATS in their last 20 home games against a team with a losing road record.
Head to head, the home team is 12-3 ATS in the last 15 meetings, the Grizzlies are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and 0-7 ATS in the last seven meetings in Oklahoma City.
The Grizzlies haven’t been in the best of form and they don’t have a starting lineup most people can name, but they’re capable of the upset with this being the last game of the season. However, the Thunder have looked great in their last two games resulting in wins over the Rockets and the Heat. A win here could be massive for the Thunder in this race for playoff positioning and they’re a dominant 7-0 ATS in the last seven home meetings against the Grizzlies. The line is massive, but I think the Thunder get it done here in a blowout.
