Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets - 5/22/18 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors can all but put this series to bed with a victory here and taking a 3-1 lead. The Golden State Warriors are averaging 111.8 points on 47.7 percent shooting and allowing 102.6 points on 43.6 percent shooting. Kevin Durant is averaging 29.2 points and 7.1 rebounds while Stephen Curry is averaging 23.9 points and 4.3 assists. Klay Thompson is the third double-digit scorer and Draymond Green is grabbing 11.3 rebounds. The Golden State Warriors are shooting 33.8 percent from beyond the arc and 83 percent from the free throw line. The Golden State Warriors are allowing 33 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46.6 rebounds per game. The Golden State Warriors have won nine of their last 13 home games.

The Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 vs. NBA Pacific. The Warriors are 4-15 ATS in their last 19 games playing on 1 days rest, 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 Tuesday games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Conference Finals games. The Rockets are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Golden State, 6-13 ATS in the last 19 meetings and the under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings.

I can't figure out the Houston Rockets, as one game they play beautiful basketball, the next game they go back to iso and turnovers. I'm kind of fed up trying to figure it out and will just pick the Golden State Warriors the rest of the way. The Rockets are coming off a game in which they turned the ball over 19 times and shot under 40 percent from the field. It only takes a three minute stretch for the Warriors to run you out of the gym, but the Rockets make it easier by playing horrible for quarters at a time. In Oracle, I'm not sure things change much. And now that Curry has found his magic touch and isn't hurt anymore, Golden State seems to be clicking on all cylinders. Things are usually different game to game in series', but I'm not sure how you make a case for the Rockets after what we just saw. Give me the Warriors by double digits.
