The Line: -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

You can bet WNBA to get your basketball fix, but other than that, you’re pretty much SOL. That is unless you’re interested in part three of the decision regarding LeBron James. The best player in the world is a free agent yet again and has many teams at his feet begging him to join their squad.

You can bet where he ends up.

LeBron James Free Agency: NBA Betting Odds, Preview & Prediction For Decision

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Here I’ll look at three of the top betting options you should consider making a wager before meetings start and you miss out on a payday this summer.

Houston Rockets - The Houston Rockets are +1191 over at Bookmaker. If winning a fourth ring and beating the Golden State Warriors is LeBron’s top priority, he’s going to Houston. A trio of James Harden, Chris Paul and LeBron is good enough to win a title. Yes, the Rockets would have to move guys to make it work and the overall core won’t be the same, but role players will take less money to join that trio and you don’t need a ton of outside production when you have those stars leading the way. We’ve seen how deadly LeBron is when he has two other top players on his team. Not to mention the Rockets probably beat the Warriors a few weeks ago if CP3 didn’t get hurt. LeBron joining that two-headed monster instantly makes the Rockets co-favorites with the Warriors to win the title. If this decision is strictly basketball and winning another championship, this bet is a winner and an easy payout.

San Antonio Spurs - The San Antonio Spurs don’t have the same feel as the San Antonio Spurs, as there’s issues with Kawhi Leonard, the championship core is old and washed up, and who knows how long Gregg Popovich wants to coach given his age and the recent passing of his wife. Regardless, the Spurs have a star in place right now, they know how to manage older players so they don’t burn out and they’re led by the best coach in the business. Not only do Popovich and LeBron have a special personal relationship, but imagine those two basketball geniuses forming a game plan in a playoff series. LeBron and Kawhi on the floor together? Forget about it. Popovich could also do a lot of shielding for LeBron, as few defend their players more than he does, which is an added bonus given that nobody is more criticized than the three-time champion. It’s not a flashy pick like Los Angeles, which has no betting value, but this move makes a ton of sense on a basketball and personal level. LeBron and the Spurs are +2019 at Bookmaker.

Cleveland Cavaliers - The Cleveland Cavaliers roster is dumpster juice and it’s not worth LeBron returning to. We get it. He should leave. However, Dwayne Wade, LeBron’s best friend, said this is likely a personal decision for him. It’s not necessarily going to be 100 percent about basketball. What makes the family happy? Where do his kids want to be? Regardless of the basketball roster, Cleveland is home. Maybe LeBron is at peace playing his final years where it all started and at least getting to the finals every year. Playing for a third different franchise also changes the way some people view your legacy. There’s something special about playing for either one or two teams. Oh, LeBron also has more saying power with the Cavs than anywhere else. He’s a god to this franchise and can make some roster decisions behind the scenes that may improve things moving froward. As he learned in Miami, LeBron doesn’t exactly have that power when he plays elsewhere. While I think LeBron should leave, there is a case for him staying, especially when you can find +909 odds at Bookmaker.
