The Chicago Bulls and the Milwaukee Bucks meet in NBA preseason action from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
The Chicago Bulls will look to build some momentum after starting the preseason on a high note with a 128-116 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday night. Zach LaVine, Antonio Blakeney and Bobby Portis tied for a team-high with 21 points, with LaVine shooting 8 of 13 from the floor while Portis went 10 of 19 in 19 minutes and Blakeney went 6 of 10 while going a perfect 8 of 8 from the foul line off of the bench. Jabari Parker added 15 points and Kris Dunn chipped in 12 with each logging a Bulls-high 8 rebounds. Wendell Carter Jr. added 11 points to round out the scoring in double figures for the Bulls in the win. As a team, the Bulls are shooting 49.5% from the field, 22.2% from 3-point range and 96.3% from the foul line after their first preseason outing.
The Milwaukee Bucks will be making their preseason debut after a 2017-18 campaign that saw Milwaukee finish at 44-38, earning the Bucks the 7th seed and a first round matchup with the Boston Celtics, a series that Milwaukee lost in seven games. The Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokoumpo is back, after a second consecutive season on the All-NBA second team, averaging 26.9 points per game, good for the 5th-most in the NBA last season, and accounting for 31.5% of Milwaukee’s offense last season. The Bucks brought in some depth as well by adding the likes of Ersan Ilyasova and Brook Lopez in addition to drafting Villanova NCAA tournament hero Donte DiVicenzo with the 17th overall pick in the draft. Only time will tell if new head coach Mike Budenholzer is the guy to finally get all the untapped potential out of the Bucks and turn them into a legitimate contender out of the east this season.
