The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Mile High City to battle the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center on Friday night.

The Brooklyn Nets have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won three of their last four games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after making light work of the Suns in a 104-82 home win on Tuesday. Caris LeVert led the team with 26 points on 10 of 16 shooting, De’Angelo Russell added 15 points while Spencer Dinwiddie chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 36 from the three-point line as they built a 10-point halftime lead before blowing out the game in the fourth quarter where they outscored the Suns by 28-16. With the win, Brooklyn improved to 5-6 overall and 2-4 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in great form to start the season as they’ve won nine of 11 but they will be aiming to bounce back after having their five-game win streak snapped by the Grizzlies in an 89-87 road loss on Wednesday. Gary Harris led the team with 20 points, Trey Lyles added 16 points while Jamal Murray chipped in with 15 points on six of 21 shooting. As a team, the Nuggets shot just 39 percent from the field and eight of 32 from the three-point line but they were still competitive from start to finish despite getting only four points from Nikola Jokic and two points from Paul Millsap.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nets are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games following a win of more than 10 points, 39-19 ATS in their last 58 road games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against the Western Conference. The Nuggets are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 Friday games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games.

Head to head, the over is 5-1 in the last six meetings, the Nets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Denver and 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings overall.

The Nets have done well to beat the 76ers and the Suns in their last two outings and they’re 39-19 ATS in their last 58 road games. However, the Nuggets have been red-hot to start the season, especially at home where they’re still a perfect 6-0 with wins over the Warriors, Jazz and Celtics, so I’m looking at Jokic to lead the Nuggets in a bounce-back win and cover in this one.
