The Oklahoma City Thunder pay a visit to the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Wednesday night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder started the season with four straight losses but they’ve since won 15 of their last 18 games and they will be aiming for a fourth straight win after blowing past the Pistons in a 110-83 road win on Monday. Steven Adams led the team in scoring with 21 points on seven of eight shooting, Russell Westbrook added 18 points with six assists, Paul George scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and four assists while Jerami Grant chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Thunder shot 50 percent from the field and seven of 25 from the 3-point line as they took a 10-point lead going into halftime before putting the game to bed in the third quarter where they outscored the Pistons by 37-19. With the win, OKC improved to 15-7 overall and 6-4 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been in a real slump as they’ve lost 11 of their last 13 games and they will be hoping to snap a seven-game skid after falling just short against the Cavaliers in a 99-97 home loss on Monday. D’Angelo Russell led the team with 30 points and six assists, Spencer Dinwiddie added 18 points with four assists while Rodions Kurucs chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot just 39 percent from the field and 10 of 40 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game late, only to lose on a dunk from Alec Burks with 3.2 seconds left on the clock. Dinwiddie would go on to the miss the potential game-winning three as Brooklyn fell to 8-17 overall and 3-9 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record, 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games and 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The Nets are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 home games, 0-7 ATS in their last seven games against the Western Conference and 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the road team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings, the over is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings and the Thunder are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
These two teams have yet to meet this season, but it's no surprise that the Thunder are big favorites given how well they've been playing lately. The Nets just haven't been able to buy a win lately and their confidence will be low after falling to the lowly Cavaliers at home on Monday. These two teams have yet to clash this season, but the Thunder have been one of the hottest teams in the league and they've won their last three games by an average of 16 points, so I'm sticking with Westbrook and the Thunder to stay hot with a win and cover in this one.
