The Cleveland Cavaliers play host to the Sacramento Kings at the Quicken Loans Arena on Friday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been a little inconsistent lately but they will be gunning for at third straight win and their fifth in eight games after blowing past the shorthanded Suns in a 122-105 road win on Tuesday. Buddy Hield led the team with 20 points, De’Aaron Fox added 16 points with seven assists while five bench players finished in double figures. As a team, the Kings shot a healthy 53 percent from the field and 11 of 24 from the 3-point line but this game was over before it really began as the Kings stormed out of the gates to lead by 36-9 at the end of the first quarter. With the easy win, Sacramento improved to 12-11 on the season and 6-6 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in a slump as they’ve lost five of their last six games and they will be looking to bounce back after getting routed by the Warriors in a 129-105 home loss on Wednesday. Collin Sexton led the team with 21 points, Jordan Clarkson added 17 points off the bench while Tristan Thompson finished with a double-double of 14 points with 19 rebounds. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 43 percent from the field and 11 of 32 from the 3-point line as they looked primed for a big upset after outscoring the Warriors by 39-27 in the second quarter, but there was just nothing they could do in the second half where they were outscored by 71-41. With the loss, Cleveland fell to 5-19 overall and 3-9 at home.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record, 2-13-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a win of more than 10 points and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Cavaliers are 6-22-1 ATS in their last 29 games following a double-digit loss at home and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the Kings are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Cleveland.
The Cavaliers have shown glimpses of quality play over the last few games as the Warriors found out on Wednesday, but they can’t seem to put together a 48 minute performance which is why they’re struggling to win games. I’m still not used to seeing the Kings regularly winning games but they’ve won their last two games by double-digits to get back over .500 and I think they can keep it going with another win and cover in a close one.
