The Utah Jazz pay a visit to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Monday night.
The Utah Jazz have been in a bit of a rut as they've lost nine of their past 14 games, but they will be breathing a sigh of relief after snapping a four-game skid with a 129-119 home win over the Wizards on Friday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 30 points and eight rebounds, Bojan Bogdanovic added 21 points, Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points while Mike Conley chipped in with 16 points and six assists. As a team, the Jazz shot 49 percent from the field and a sizzling 19 of 37 from the 3-point line as they trailed by two points at halftime, before pouring in 71 points in the second half to escape with the much-needed win to get their season back on track.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in decent shape as they've won four of their last seven games, but they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling to the Pacers in a 113-104 home loss on Saturday. Andre Drummond led the team with 27 points, 13 rebounds and four assists, Kevin Love added 20 points with 12 rebounds and seven assists while Collin Sexton chipped in with 16 points and four assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 48 percent from the field and a miserly five of 22 from the 3-point line as they really took it to the Pacers until the fourth quarter where they were outscored by 27-18.
Looking at the betting trends, the Jazz are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 games following a win, 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. The Cavaliers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four home games, 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games against a team with a winning road record and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall.
Head to head, the under is 6-0-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Jazz are 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Cleveland and the Jazz are 6-0-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
The Jazz will be breathing a major sigh of relief after snapping a four-game skid in their last outing, but they've been well below their best and aren't certainties against the Cavaliers who have come to life in their last seven games. This is the first meeting between the teams, but the Jazz are 6-0-2 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and they just need this win way more than the Cavaliers, so that's where I'm leaning in this one.
