Carazo and Real Esteli meet Wednesday night in Torneo Carlos Ulloa Nicaraguan basketball action.
Carazo could use a feel good victory here after losing four of their last five games. Carazo is averaging 65.5 points on 49.2 percent shooting and allowing 67.4 points on 44.9 percent shooting. Luis Jarquin is averaging 19.3 points, 2.2 steals, 4.7 turnovers and 4.1 assists. Marcos Jimenez is averaging 0.5 blocks and 7.2 rebounds. Carazo is shooting 25.9 percent from beyond the arc and 55.9 percent from the free throw line. Carazo is allowing 28.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 33.2 rebounds per game.
Real Esteli look for a spark of consistency after splitting their last eight games. Real Esteli is averaging 79.5 points on 54.3 percent shooting and allowing 57.1 points on 36 percent shooting. Sharon Hodgson is averaging 13.3 points and 3.6 rebounds while Dalton Cacho is averaging 12.3 points and 7.3 rebounds. Jensen Campbell is the third double-digit scorer and Jose Reyes is dishing 1.6 assists. Real Esteli is shooting 26.8 percent from beyond the arc and 52 percent from the free throw line. Real Esteli is allowing 24.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.9 rebounds per game.
There's no match history between these two teams.
There was no line at the time this article was published and lines for Nicaraguan basketball seem to be coming out very late, so who knows when and if one will be released. With that said, Real Esteli is the team in much better form and is one of the better teams in this league overall, as they score at a high clip and don't allow much easily on the defensive end. Carazo can be hit or miss a lot of the time on the defensive end and them averaging 15.1 turnovers per game doesn't bode well for their success against above-average teams. Real Esteli is just the better team across the board no matter how you slice it and it should result in a comfortable victory.
I'll side with Real Esteli by at least seven points, and I'll update this article with odds if they're released.
